India Announces ODI Squad For South Africa Series: KL Rahul To Lead, Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli Included
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming series against South Africa. KL Rahul will captain the Indian team in the 50-over matches, stepping in for the injured regular captain Shubman Gill.

KL Rahul will lead the ODI team after Shubman Gill was ruled out due to a neck injury sustained during the Kolkata Test.
Experienced players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been retained in the squad following their strong performances in the Australia series.
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for this series.
Rishabh Pant will serve as the vice-captain for the ODIs.
New inclusion Ruturaj Gaikwad has been selected for the series.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja returns to the ODI squad after missing the Australia series.
Other players rested include Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel, who played in the recent Test series against South Africa.

Shubman Gill’s injury also ruled him out of the second Test against South Africa in Guwahati. In his absence, Rishabh Pant is currently leading the Test team.
